MTD BOOKS Limited

We are a Kampala publishing house devoted to Ugandan legal writing that can stand beside the books imported from London — and, when the subject is ours, replace them.

Too many of the volumes on a Ugandan lawyer’s shelf were written for another statute, another court, another market. MTD BOOKS exists so that the next generation of practitioners can cite a text that was edited, printed and sold for this jurisdiction.

Our first book, Mugabe on Insolvency Law in Uganda, is the statement of that ambition. It will not be the last. We read manuscripts in commercial law, tax, public law and the adjacent disciplines — provided they are built to last.
